Synergy Counselling is excited to welcome Eric Rankin to our team.
Eric may be new to the Synergy team, but he is not new to Kamloops. Many of you may recognize him from his time at TRU where he completed the Masters of Education program, then worked as a Graduate/Undergraduate Tutor, a Student Recruiter-Advisor and a Program Advisor. He’s also previously worked at Insight Support Services where he developed a special interest in supporting a neurodiverse youth clientele. This interest has him currently pursuing training as a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist. His most recent accomplishment is the completion of his Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. Congratulations Eric!!
Eric uses client-centered, Internal Family Systems and Trauma-informed approaches in his work. Aside from his various degrees and professional experiences, it’s Eric gentle and disarming nature that makes him a natural fit as a counsellor. He has experience providing clinical services for youth as well as for adult clients coping with various mental health and systemic concerns. When he isn’t working, you may find him buried in a good book, cycling, spending time with friends and family, practicing photography, watching movies, or playing Dungeons and Dragons.
This is a great opportunity to start working with Eric as he is currently available to accept new clients. His schedule includes those incredibly hard to come by evening appointments and he is offering a hybrid of in-person and online sessions.
