Some of my highlights

Hi there! I know that sometimes, it can be really hard to live in today’s world. It often feels like you have too much to carry, and you struggle with finding ways to feel better. Therapy is an amazing way you can care for yourself. It is a unique opportunity for you to focus inwards, to learn more about yourself, and to explore your external influences. It can be an empowering experience in which you heal, grow and tap into your innate resiliency.

I’m a Registered Clinical Counsellor (#12055) with a degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology.

In our work together, you can expect my full attention, a safe place to express yourself, a pace that you are comfortable with, the presence of humour, a lot of validation, and my knowledge and experience to provide support. If you are open to it, I may offer you different perspectives. However, I will always respect your boundaries.

I have been working in the field for over 25 years, in a variety of social work and counselling settings. I have worked in government, non-profit agencies, for profit agencies and indigenous agencies, both on the front line and in management. By far, providing individual counselling services has been the most enjoyable part of my career.

I’m a generalist practitioner and I offer a strengths-based approach. I provide individual counselling for adolescents and adults, a combination of art/play therapy for children six years and up, and clinical supervision.

I’m passionate about working with clients who are experiencing anxiety (generalized anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, phobias and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)).

My other areas of interest include: burnout, trauma, grief and loss, depression, neurodiversity, life transitions, fertility journeys, sexuality/gender identity support, relationship and family challenges, workplace challenges, and parenting support.

I’m an advocate of the Health at Every Size movement, and I offer support in the practice of Intuitive Eating.
